The present invention relates to a composition containing a Dictyopteris undulata Holmes extract as an active ingredient for preventing and treating colorectal cancer. The Dictyopteris undulata Holmes extract of the present invention effectively suppresses the growth of cells through cell apoptosis. Therefore, a pharmaceutical composition of the present invention containing the Dictyopteris undulata Holmes extract as an active ingredient effectively prevents colorectal cancer and treats cancer, thereby being used in an anticancer agent.
