Disclosed is a composition comprising all-cis-5,8,11,14,17-icosapentaenoic acid for use in the prevention of a cardiovascular event in a hypercholesterolemia patient undergoing treatment with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor and suffering from additional risk factors.
