The present invention relates to an anode active material comprising an SiOx-carbon nanotube composite, and a manufacturing method thereof, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing an anode active material, comprising the steps of: adding SiOx-carbon nanotube composite after mixing a solvent with SiOx(0x=1) and anode active material comprising SiOx-carbon nano tube composite (SiOx(0x=1) : carbon nanotube = 99-95:1-5); and manufacturing SiOx-carbon nanotube composite by removing the solvent from the solution mixed with the SiOx and carbon nanotube then drying and pulverizing it.
