The method involves building multiplicity of representative models of tank of properties of tank to leave of geological model. The distance is determined from flow fluid according to shortest path between injecting well and producing well for geological model. The flows of fluid and hydrocarbons present in tank are simulated by unit of simulator of flow and model of tank which minimizes difference between aforementioned distance of flow according to shortest path of model of tank and distance in flow according to path shortest of geological model. An independent claim is included for a computer program for performing EXP of geological tank by unit of model of coherent tank with MG.
