A transflective LCD is provided to remarkably reduce an alignment error by removing an overcoat layer and having a single cell gap and to improve the yield rate. A unit pixel area is divided into a reflective region and a transmissive region in a transflective LCD. A first substrate(100) and a second substrate(110) face each other. A pixel electrode(104) is formed in a pixel area of the first substrate. A reflective plate(101) is formed in the transmissive region on the first substrate. A common electrode(114) is formed on the second substrate. At least one first open pattern is formed at least one of the pixel electrode and the common electrode for forming a multi domain. A plurality of second open patterns are formed in the transmissive region of at least one of the pixel electrode and the common electrode for inducing a fringe field.
