SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLUID SIMULATION USING MULTIGRID

PURPOSE: A system and a method for fluid simulation using a multigrid are provided to improve the conversion process of a residual value of each cell by performing fluid simulation based on a multi grid V-cycle algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A state processing unit defines a cell as a Dirichlet cell after corresponded restriction is performed if the Dirichlet cell exists among cells before restriction. The state processing unit defines the cell as a Neumann cell after corresponded restriction is performed if the Dirichlet cell does not exist among the cells before restriction and the Neumann cell exists. The state processing unit defines the cell as an interior cell after corresponding restriction is performed if the Dirichlet cell and the Neumann cell do not exist among the cells before restriction. A restriction operation unit adds up residual values of interior cells before the restriction and produces the residual value of the interior cell after corresponded restriction.
