PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of organic-sericite is provided to be able to manufacture organic-sericite having a good copper ion adsorption effect in a shortened period, and to prepare a ground that the organic-sericite product is able to be industrially produced and utilized through an improved manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION: Organic-sericite for adsorbing and removing the copper element in wastewater is manufactured by processing the surface of sericite and forming a micro void between layers by using a mercapto silane compound, separating and drying to obtain organic-sericite particles. The mercapto silane compound is 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane. A manufacturing method of organic-sericite comprises a process of manufacturing a sericite solution by putting 10 g of sericite and 200-300 ml of toluene as a reaction co-solvent within a sealed container, forming a firstly homogeneous solution state with stirring, adding 15-25 ml of 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxylsilane to the solution, ion-exchanging by stirring at a high temperature of 60-70deg.C for 10-14 hours and cooling to a room temperature; a process of separating pure organic-sericite by pouring the ion-exchanged sericite solution on a filter medium and repeatedly pouring toluene as a washing agent to wash; and a process of obtaining organic-sericite particles by removing residual toluene in an oven of 100-110deg.C for 2-4 hours.
