The present invention relates to a low profile monopole antenna using the vertical edge of planar ground and comprises a planar ground unit; a planar ground vertical edge unit extended from the left and right ends of the planar ground unit to a rear surface direction; a planar ground horizontal edge unit extended from the upper and the lower end of the planar ground unit to the rear surface direction; a feeding point located on the planar ground horizontal edge unit; and a radiation element unit located on the planar ground horizontal edge unit which is parallel with the planar ground unit or the planar ground vertical edge unit.
