The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for selectively synthesizing fine structures on arbitrary locations by directly forming three dimensional micro- or nano-scale fine structures such as metals, polymers, composite materials, and the likes on a substrate and locally applying microwave heat. By following the method and the apparatus for synthesizing fine structures according to the present invention, the method and apparatus are applied to most materials, and high temperature heat is locally applied by microwave heat so that the three dimensional fine structures can be directly formed on the substrate by flash synthesis.
