The present invention relates to a transgenic animal model for evaluating effects of functional foods in a normal metabolic state without diseases. Specifically, the present invention manufactures a transgenic animal into which a promoter of peroxisome-proliferator-activated receptor gamma co-activator-1 alpha (PGC-1α) gene which plays pivotal role for energy metabolic regulatory and luciferase which is a reporter gene are inserted. The metabolic status of the transgenic mouse is confirmed to be similar to that of normal mouses. If the PGC-1α promoter is expressed when anti-obesity functional foods/materials are treated for the transformed mouse, the luciferase connected to be consecutively operated is expressed and indirectly measures increase of PGC-1α expression in order to confirm that the transgenic animal model is effective for evaluating effects of the functional foods/materials related to obesity and energy metabolism so that the transgenic animal can be effectively used for evaluating effects of anti-obesity functional foods/materials.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
