The present invention relates to novel tungsten complexes and a method of preparing cycloolefin polymers using the same, and more specifically to novel tungsten complexes which are heat-stable, have high polymerization activation thereby having short polymerization induction time, and can obtain cycloolefin polymers with high yield, and to a method of preparing cycloolefin polymers using the same.
