The present invention relates to a composition for inhibiting cellular senescence, which includes quercetin-3-O--D-glucuronide (Q3GA) as an active ingredient. The present invention provides the composition for inhibiting cellular senescence that inhibits a senescence of fibroblast, a senescence of umbilical vein endothelial cell or a replicative senescence, which are induced by adriamycin. Specifically, the Q3GA is isolated from a Polygoni avicularis herba extract. By inhibiting such cellular senescence of human fibroblast or the umbilical vein endothelial cell, the composition for inhibiting cellular senescence that includes Q3GA as the active ingredient can be useful in treating senescence related diseases such as skin aging, rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative arthritis, hepatitis, chronic skin damage tissue, arteriosclerosis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, liver cancer and the like.
