The present invention relates to a method for preparing 1,3-butadiene by the dimerization of ethylene and the dehydrogenation of the obtained butene, and more specifically, to a method for preparing 1,3-butadiene by the dimerization of ethylene into butene using uniform catalysts and the dehydrogenation of the obtained butene. Oxidative dehydrogenation is carried out under the presence of a catalyst system including a ferrite-based catalyst.
