The present invention relates to a redox-responsive polymer-photosensitizer conjugate containing disulfide linkers which include disulfide bonds capable of performing cancer cell selective fluorescence imaging or photodynamic therapy by activating fluorescence and reactive oxygen production using a reducing agent. The polymer-photosensitizer conjugate bonded by the disulfide linkers suppresses fluorescence and reactive oxygen production by energy transfer between photosensitizers bonded by the polymers outside the normal tissues and cancer cells, and expresses strong fluorescence signals and cytotoxicity while producing reactive oxygen species when disulfide bonds are cut by intracellular reducing agent after being targeted and accumulated in cancer tissue or cancer cells. Therefore, production of fluorescence and reactive oxygen is activated only when the conjugate is entered into the cancer cells so that side effects can be reduced and cancer selective fluorescence imaging and photodynamic therapy can be performed.
