Disclosed is an automatic navigation technology based on converged technology of a global navigation satellite system and a vision system. A self positioning apparatus according to one aspect of the present invention includes: an image acquisition part for acquiring an image in front of a moving object; a position information receiving part for acquiring position information data of the moving object by receiving a signal transmitted from a global positioning system (GPS) satellite; a vision processing part for recognizing the object by processing the images acquired at every epoch in the image acquisition part, and outputting vision data obtained by calculating the distance between the recognized object and the moving object; and a time synchronization part for performing time synchronization between the position information receiving part and the vision processing part in order for the position information receiving part and the vision processing part (3) to output synchronized data.
