The present invention relates to polygalatenuifolia willdenow extract with enhanced acetylcholinesterase inhibition effect and a composition to prevent or improve memory capability including the same. By using a method according to the present invention: the polygalatenuifolia willdenow extract can simply be isolated into saponin based compound (intra-ultrafiltered fluid) and non-saponin based compound (extra-ultrafiltered fluid) using an ultrafilteration method, not by a column generally used for isolation; and acetylcholinesterase inhibition effect can be more enhanced than conventional polygalatenuifolia willdenow extract by removing the saponin based compound inside the polygalatenuifolia willdenow extract in order to increase acetylcholinesterase inhibition effect so that memory capability can be enhanced. Therefore the present invention can be suitably used for treating dementia. The polygalatenuifolia willdenow extract of the present invention is extract of natural material, not a single component so that the same has less side effects than synthetic drugs and can be suitably used as a pharmaceutical composition to prevent or treat dementia or a health supplement composition to prevent or improve memory degradation.
