The present invention relates to a cathode for an electrochemical device with an improved gas discharging property, a manufacturing method thereof and an electrochemical device including the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a cathode for an electrochemical device with an improved gas discharging property, which comprises a cathode current collector and a cathode active material layer coated on at least one side of the cathode current collector, and includes recession parts formed in a longitudinal direction to be mutually separated on at least one side of the cathode of an electrochemical device, a manufacturing method thereof and an electrochemical device including the same. According to the present invention, increase in resistance within an electrochemical device is suppressed by easily discharging side reaction gases produced therein when operating the electrochemical device, so that lithium is prevented from being precipitated on the surface of the anode, and explosion of the electrochemical device is prevented by blocking ignition with a spark.
