Provided are a flexographic printing plate and a method for producing the same that can form a liquid crystal alignment film through flexographic printing using ink having low wettability which forms the basis of a new liquid crystal alignment film corresponding to high precision and high performance of a liquid crystal panel, the liquid crystal alignment film having the uniform thickness and excellent reproducibility of the thickness, without occurring a problem such as pinhole or the like. A flexographic printing plate (16) has a printing surface (13) which is roughened so that a root means square slope (Rq) of a roughness curve is 0.9 or more and 3.0 or less, and a specific surface area is 2.8 or more and 4.9 or less. In the method for producing the flexographic printing plate, a layer (8) of photosensitive resin composition is formed on a forming surface (3) which forms the basis of the printing surface (13), and is irradiated by activating light to cure the layer of the photosensitive resin composition.
