The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a metallocene polyethylene film for a lithium secondary battery separation film by melt-extruding a metallocene polyethylene resin which comprises the steps of: (S1) preparing a metallocene polyethylene resin having weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 100,000-180,000; (S2) manufacturing a pellet by uniformly mixing the metallocene polyethylene resin, a phenol based antioxidant, and a phosphorus based antioxidant; and (S3) manufacturing a film by melt-extruding the pellet at 260-280C. According to the present invention, the film for a lithium secondary battery separation film having excellent mechanical properties can be manufactured.
