A controlled neutron flux cascade shower method and a controlled neutron flux cascade shower apparatus, which produce neutron flux by gradually multiplying neutrons using a radiation outputted from an accelerator for generating the radiation, relate to a nuclear energy field. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing targeted neutron flux and to an apparatus to which the method is applied, in which the number of combinations of the magnitude of energy of the radiation outputted from the accelerator for generating the radiation, a type of a target material, a fissionable material, and a multiplication material is controlled to gradually multiply the number of the neutrons. The method for producing target neutrons comprises an initial setting step of selecting the magnitude of the energy of the radiation outputted from the accelerator for generating the radiation, the fissionable material, and the multiplication material; a first step of colliding the radiation with the fissionable material to generate neutrons having high energy through the fissionable material; a second step of colliding the neutrons generated in the first step with the multiplication material to multiply the number of the neutrons; and a neutron multiplying step of colliding the neutrons multiplied in the second step with the fissionable material to increase energy of the neutrons, and repeatedly colliding the neutrons having the increased energy with the multiplication material to gradually multiply the neutrons. The neutron flux can be produced on a large scale at relatively low cost in relatively small equipment.
