The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a Li_2MnO_3 based adsorbent comprising: a step of preparing a lithium compound and a manganese compound so that the mole ratio of lithium and manganese is 2:1 and performing mixing; a step of forming Li_2MnO_3 by heat treating the mixed materials in the air; and a step of performing acid treatment on the Li_2MnO_3. The present invention is able to provide a lithium adsorbent of a novel composition by manufacturing the Li_2MnO_3 based adsorbent. Additionally, the present invention provides heat treatment conditions and acid treatment conditions manufacturing the Li_2MnO_3 adsorbent. Furthermore, the present invention provides conditions of a process of collecting lithium by using the Li_2MnO_3 adsorbent.
