The present invention relates to a high refractive thin film using zirconia sol and a manufacturing method thereof and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing a high refractive thin film using zirconia sol which includes a first step of manufacturing zirconia nanosol of colloid, a second step of replacing a solvent included in the zirconia nanosol with an organic solvent or concentrating the solvent, a third step of processing the surface of the zirconia nanosol by adding functional silane, a fourth step of manufacturing a zirconia nanosol coating solution to be coated, and a fifth step of manufacturing a high refractive zirconia hybrid thin film. The present invention applies electrical, electronic, and optical functional films by forming a high refractive hybrid coating film.
