The present invention relates to a coordinate converting method. More specifically, the method includes the steps of: (1) converting a first airplane route angle, a first airplane gliding angle, and a first airplane distance on a polar coordinate system based on precision approach radar (PAR) to be complied with a WGS-84 coordinate system; and (2) deriving a second airplane route angle, a second airplane gliding angle, and a second airplane distance from a ground point of impact (GPI) using materials converted to the WGS-84 coordinate system in the step (1). According to the coordinate converting method for converting coordinate information acquired based on PAR to coordinate information from GPI, for a visual PAR control automation system to directly transfer route, gliding angle, and distance information revealed by a PAR radar in a digital data type, information on an airplane viewed from the PAR can be digitally converted to information from the GPI which is required to a pilot by converting coordinate information on the polar coordinate system based on the PAR to be complied with the WGS-84 coordinate system and by converting the materials, which are converted to the WGS-84 coordinate system, to the route, gliding angle, and distance information from the GPI. The digitally converted data can be visually transferred to the pilot by using the PAR control automation system, thereby remarkably improving accuracy and transmissibility of precision approach information.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
