The present invention relates to a water gun toy capable of squirting water by supplying water in a container with a gear type pump operated by rotating a rotation handle and, more particularly, to a water gun toy capable of continuously squirting water and controlling the intension of squirted water by controlling the speed of the pump gear according to the rotation of the rotation handle. A main body has a gun-shape and a container. A rotation handle operated by being pivotally rotated is mounted on the outside of the main body of water gun. A driving gear fixed to the rotation handle and an accelerating gear formed of multiple double gears are mounted on the inside of main body of the water gun to be overlapped and engaged with each other. The accelerating gear interworks with an interworking gear to rotate the pump gear pivotally fixed to the interworking gear. Then, the rotation handle is rotated, and the accelerating gear is rotated, so accelerating force is transferred to the pump gear to control the introducing and discharging speed of water according to the rotation of the rotation handle, thereby controlling the intension of squirted water to squirt water in a long or short distance. Also, the water gun toy can be readily packed by having the foldable rotation handle.
