An autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease is a common hereditary disease where a plurality of cysts having liquid are formed on both kidneys. In the present invention, the DNA methylation inhibitors are related to a pharmaceutical composition, which is 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine (5-aza-dC) or zebularine, for alleviating or treating autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
