An outlet for cutting off standby power in the present invention includes a case that has a groove for combining a plug and a pair of communication holes inserted into the connection terminal of the plug, a safety pin that is formed in back of the case and rotate to open the communication hole by a force generated due to the insertion of the connection terminal, a main body comprising a pair of connection terminal that is arranged in back of the safety pin and touches the connection terminal inserted into the communication hole to supply power, and a switch for cutting off power that is formed on one side of the case having the groove and touches the plug inserted into the case to generate on and off signals. Because the present invention includes the outlet for cutting off the power, power consumption due to standby power is prevented by completely cutting off power supply when the plug is not inserted into the outlet.
