PURPOSE: A protocol interface module, a chip mounter, and a protocol interface method are provided to interact with the protocol between different controllers using the message defined in one application layer. CONSTITUTION: A protocol interface module includes networks and a memory block. The networks include an application layer and use the different protocol. The memory block interfaces the protocol matched between application layers. A plurality of slave units(220) are networked to the first protocol and mount the semiconductor chip on a printed circuit board. A plurality of input and output units(320) are networked to the second protocol. The protocol interface module interfaces the protocol information to match the first protocol and the second protocol.
