The present invention relates to an electronic commerce system and an electronic commerce method for applying random price discount rate when bargaining is requested. According to the present invention, a purchaser terminal connects to an electronic commerce server and selects a product in a sale site provided from the electronic commerce server. The electronic commerce server checks activation of a bargaining function about the selected product. Under the state that the bargaining function is activated, the electronic commerce server calculates a random price discount rate according to bargaining request, if the electronic commerce server receives bargaining about the selected product from the purchaser terminal. The electronic commerce server informs a calculated price discount rate and a product price applied with the price discount rate to the purchaser terminal.
