PURPOSE: A position information-based golf course information guide device and a method thereof are provided to smoothly enjoy golf by supplying yardage information and course attack information for a course on a current position besides a remaining distance to a hole cup according to a change of the current position. CONSTITUTION: A CPU (170) calculates a remaining distance from a current position to a hole cup by using map data of a golf course map information (130) and the current position provided from a GPS processing unit (120) or calculates a driving distance of a previous shot in order to guide the calculated distance by controlling a voice guide unit (160). The CPU guides course information of a golf course information unit (140) according to the current position by controlling the voice guide unit.
