Disclosed are a method of optimizing a device-to-device (D2D) communication based on LTE-advanced and an apparatus performing the same. The method of optimizing D2D communication based on LTE-advanced comprises the steps of: receiving the state information of a channel from a base station; determining a transmission power based on the state information of the received channel; and transmitting the determined transmission power to a relay after decode and forward (DF). Therefore, the present invention can minimize the waste of unnecessary power and improve the reliability of the D2D communication.
