PURPOSE: A method and a device for compensating geometrical errors in an irregular shape grinding process are provided to compensate the geometrical errors in real time by controlling the height of upper and lower shafts of a grinding wheel by using a helical interpolation in the irregular shape grinding process. CONSTITUTION: A device (100) for compensating geometrical errors comprises a compensating position setting unit (130) and a program modifying unit (140). The compensating position setting unit sets the compensating position of a grinding wheel at starting and end points of an irregular shape grinding part including one or more inflection point nodes corresponding to the geometrical errors of a panel grinding device. The program modifying unit interpolates the position of the grinding wheel in the inflection point node depending on the predetermined compensating position and modifies commands in the irregular shape grinding part among processing programs.
