The present invention relates to an arch type footpath girder including: a girder of which both ends are mounted on a bridge bearing, the girder including a plurality of arch structures arranged side by side and formed by first H-beams connected with each other in the longitudinal direction, a plurality of connection plates mounted in the longitudinal direction of the arch structures and respectively fixed to side parts of the first H-beams arranged side by side to be opposed to each other, and a plurality of second H-beams of which both ends are respectively fixed to the connection plates and which are arranged in the width direction to connect the arch structures with each other; a deck part including square pipes arranged on the girder in the longitudinal direction and arranged and fixed side by side in the width direction and timbers located on the square pipes in the width direction and arranged and fixed in the longitudinal direction; a handrail part having hand rails respectively mounted along both sides of the girder and fixed to the first H-beams; and a design side wall part having a girder wall fixed along both sides of the girder, and a construction method of the arch type footpath girder bridge. According to the present invention, a footbridge which enables pedestrians to pass in safety can be independently installed, and the arch type footpath girder bridge is safe in structure, is easy in assembly and installation, and provides a beautiful appearance by virtue of the design girder wall.
