The present invention relates to a single reduction electrode microbial fuel cell for treating organic materials and nitrogen, wherein microorganisms decompose the organic materials in an oxidation electrode disposed at one side, and the organic materials and nitrogen are treated through nitrification and denitrification and electric energy is generated in two cathodes using a single electrode disposed up and down or right and left at the other side. The single reduction electrode microbial fuel cell comprises: a first chamber unit in which inflow water including organic materials and nitrogen is fed; a second chamber unit that is formed at one side of the first chamber unit and in which the inflow water is fed from the first chamber unit by means of an inflow water transferring pipe that is connected with the bottom end thereof; a third chamber unit that is formed at one side of the first chamber unit and disposed at the top end of the second chamber unit so that the inflow water is fed therein from the second chamber unit; a first ion exchange film that divide areas of the first chamber unit and second chamber unit; a second ion exchange film that divides areas of the first chamber unit and third chamber unit; and a separation means that divides areas of the second chamber unit and third chamber unit and has a hole in order to transfer the inflow water fed in the second chamber unit to the third chamber unit.
