Disclosed are a method for estimating the speed of ultrasonic waves, a method and an apparatus for photographing an ultrasonic image using the same. According to one embodiment, the method for estimating the speed of ultrasonic waves includes obtaining ultrasonic waves of a total medium by using reference speed, classifying each medium layer by distinguishing the boundary of the medium layers of the medium from the obtained image, selecting at least two regions of interest (ROI) from different medium layers which are adjacent to each other among the classified medium layers, and obtaining the different speed of the ultrasonic waves in each medium layer by using the wave and depth of the ultrasonic waves in a selected ROI. [Reference numerals] (310) Obtain an ultrasonic image relative to total medium by using one reference speed; (320) Classify each medium layer by distinguishing the boundary of the medium layers of the medium from the obtained image; (330) Select at least two regions of interest(ROI) from different medium layers which are adjacent to each other among the classified medium layers, and obtain the different speed of the ultrasonic waves in each medium layer by using the wave and depth of the ultrasonic waves in a selected ROI; (340) Emit the ultrasonic waves corresponding to each medium layer by using the obtained different ultrasonic waves speed and obtain the ultrasonic image by accessing the beam reflected from the medium; (AA) Start; (BB) End
