The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fish hook for protecting fry capable of protecting lives of fry or fishes of small fish species by catching only large fishes on a hook while preventing young and small fishes such as fry from being caught on the hook; and preventing a paste bait attached on the hook from being easily separated from the hook by fry or fishes of small fish species. The fish hook for protecting fry of the present invention includes a hook body of a bent shape; a hook tip formed on the tip end of the hook body; a knot unit formed on the other tip end of the hook body; a cylindrical protective cover which includes a space receiving the hook body and the hook tip and of which top surface is open; and a fixture fixed to the hook body in order to make the protective cover maintain the state of receiving the hook body and the hook tip and which is formed on one side of the protective cover.
