PURPOSE: A probe set for diagnosing or detecting TYMV(turnip yellow mosaic virus) is provided to minimize damage to agricultural products and to enhance agricultural product yields. CONSTITUTION: An oligonucleotide probe set for diagnosing or detecting TYMV contains one or more oligonucleotide selected from a group consisting of oligonucleotides of sequence numbers 3665-3674 or complementary oligonucleotides thereof. A method for diagnosing or detecting TYMV comprises: a step of isolating RNA from a sample; a step of synthesizing cDNA from RNA; a step of hybridizing the cDNA and the probe set; and a step of detecting hybridization.
