The present invention relates to a method for extracting astaxanthin from shrimp waste using molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) and dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) which increases the selectivity for astaxanthin, reduces the amount of used solvent since an eluent used in MISPE is used as a dispersive solvent in DLLME, and remarkably increases the extraction efficiency of astaxanthin from shrimp waste by extracting the astaxanthin from shrimp waste continuously using optimized MISPE and DLLME.
