The present invention provides a novel use of a composite fermented extract, which is obtained by microorganism-fermenting a mixture of a sea swallows nest extract and a centella asiatica extract, for alleviating skin irritation. The composite fermented extract of the present invention exhibits effects in calming irritated skin through skin sensitivity alleviation, melanin color decrease, erythema decrease, and oil and water increase. Accordingly, the composite fermented extract of the present invention can be developed into an active material of a cosmetic material for alleviating skin irritation and for sensitive skin.
