Disclosed is a camera registration method for augmented reality of a surgical navigation system capable of realizing more accurate augmented reality with fewer errors. The camera registration method calculates and corrects the coordinates of the optical center of a camera by moving an optical tracker, the camera or a pattern board while a second marker is being attached to the pattern board instead of manually positioning the second maker on the pattern board, therefore, one person is able to perform a task alone. Also, the coordinates of the second marker which is attached to the pattern board are constant, therefore, cumulative error caused by the coordinates of the second marker does not occur.
