The present invention relates to a quilt pattern correcting apparatus and a quilt pattern correcting method for one head quilting machine capable of matching a design pattern on yarn with a quilt pattern storied in a control computer to automatically form a quilt pattern. A quilt pattern correcting method comprises the steps of: compiling a database of quilt pattern images for forming a quilt pattern according to a yarn design pattern formed on a surface of yarn to store the quilt pattern images by using a camera installed on one head quilting machine; compiling a database of each reference points according to preset conditions and operation sequence information to store the reference points and operation sequence information; fixing yarn on which a yarn design pattern equal to the quilt pattern image is formed, to a fixing frame; fixing the fixing frame to a transfer frame; extracting characteristic points corresponding to the preset conditions from the yarn design pattern outputted from a camera installed on the transfer frame; reading reference points of the quilt pattern image; verifying whether or not the characteristic points and the reference points are matched with each other; controlling the operation of a position control motor to adjust the position of the transfer frame and a sewing machine when the reference points are not matched with the reference points, and matching the characteristic points and the reference points with each other to display them; and forming the quilt pattern on the yarn according to the yarn design pattern outputted from a camera.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
