The present invention relates to a food, which enhances cognitive function and memory and contains a non-anthocyanin fraction of a black bean husk extract as an active ingredient, and to a pharmaceutical composition, which prevents and treats degenerative brain nerve diseases and contains a non-anthocyanin fraction of a black bean husk extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the non-anthocyanin fraction of a black bean husk extract has effects of inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (AChE), of reducing stress on nerve cells, and of protecting nerve cells. Therefore, the fraction can be advantageously used for food for enhancing cognitive function and memory.
