Disclosed are a modified lithium metal electrode, a manufacturing method thereof and a lithium metal battery using the same. Modification of a lithium metal includes a step of coating the lithium metal with a polymer gel precursor solution in which an amine curing agent, an epoxy compound and an organic electrolyte solution are mixed, then curing. According to the present invention, the surface of the lithium metal is stabilized and the growth of a lithium dendrite is suppressed. Furthermore, the capacity and the lifespan property of a lithium metal battery are improved by applying the modified lithium metal, and the current is uniformly distributed by lowering the interfacial resistance between the electrode and the electrolyte solution.
