The present invention discloses an anti-inflammatory composition and a composition for alleviation of atopic dermatitis using an extract from immature fruits of Diospyros kaki. Particularly, disclosed are an anti-inflammatory composition and a composition for alleviation of atopic dermatitis using an extract from immature fruits of Diospyros kaki, having the activity of inhibiting the generation of NO, PGE_2, inflammatory cytokines, etc. in LPS-stimulated macrophages and having the activity of inhibiting the generation of MDC and TARC in HaCaT cells which are a keratinocyte cell line treated with hIFN-gamma and TNF-alpha.
