Disclosed is a method for detecting surge ground voltage of a distributing board (a high-tension panel, a low-tension panel, a motor control board, and a panel board) according to arc and corona generation. The method for detecting the surge ground voltage of the distributing board comprises a step for setting a cutoff frequency (fc) of a surge ground voltage sensor module; a step for enabling the surge ground voltage sensor module to sense electric field intensity data for each frequency range by using the predetermined cutoff frequency; a step for enabling a discharge detection module to remove and level the noise of the sensed electric field intensity data; a step for enabling the discharge detection module to receive background noise and to level the inputted background noise; a step for enabling the discharge detection module to calculate the difference between the leveled electric field intensity data and the leveled background noise; a step for enabling the discharge detection module to calculate the electric field intensity data for each frequency range in which the noise is removed by using the calculated difference; and a step for enabling the discharge detection module to determine the discharge and the discharge types by using the electric field intensity data for each frequency range and display the discharge and the discharge types. The present invention is provided to sense surge ground voltage caused by arc discharge or corona discharge and confirm the arc discharge or the corona discharge by confirming the pulse of the surge ground voltage, thereby enabling the user to confirm a reason of the discharge according to the discharge types and to take a proper action.
