FIELD: measurement equipment.;SUBSTANCE: triangulation-hyperbolic method to determine coordinates of radio air objects (RAO) in space relates to the field of passive location and may be used to solve tasks of RAO coordinates determination and trajectories of their movement in space using the base-correlation method. The method consists in measurement at all receiving stations: on one central and several peripheral stations, angular coordinates of RAO and differences of distance between the central and peripheral receiving stations. Coordinates are determined within two stages: at the first stage they determine a strobe of RAO location, received on the basis of angular coordinates of this source, measured by central and all peripheral receiving stations (triangulation method). At the second stage in the received strobe they calculate differences of distances between central and all peripheral receiving stations, they determine the accurate place of RAO location in space. At each peripheral receiving station for measurement of the difference of time of signal delay by a command from the central station they set a bearing for RAO to meet a condition of reception of one and the same signal by all receiving stations (using a hyperbolic method).;EFFECT: higher throughput capacity of a multi-position system of passive location.;4 dwg
