A method for purifying the flow of industrial waste and potable water from the copper ions by their sorption adsorbent, wherein the adsorbent is used as 95% concentrate glauconite, which upon adjustment of the absorbing layer 0.01-0.015 m and a linear flow rate of up to 0.38 m / h provides for the extraction of copper ions from aqueous solutions to 99.99% with no breakthrough for 2 hours.
