FIELD: physics, navigation.;SUBSTANCE: disclosed method and apparatus relate to radioelectronics and can be used to determine coordinates of radiation sources of composite signals with combined phase and frequency keying, mounted on-board an aircraft (airplane, helicopter, airship, probe etc) and determine parameters thereof. The phase direction finder which realises the disclosed direction finding phase method comprises receiving antennae, three receivers, a reference generator, a pulse generator, an electronic switch, two 90° phase changers, eight phase detectors, an indicator, a heterodyne, a mixer, an intermediate frequency amplifier, four multipliers, three band-pass filters, a delay line, two squaring devices, a scaling multiplier, a subtractor, a phase doubler, three phase-locked loop units, two phase halvers, three narrow band-pass filters, a frequency demodulator, an adder and a recording unit, connected to each other in a certain manner.;EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the existing method and apparatus through accurate and unique determination of the azimuth and elevation angle of the radiation source of a composite signal with combined phase and frequency keying, mounted on-board an aircraft, and synchronous detection thereof.;2 cl, 4 dwg
