FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: auricular extrasystole recorded in the patient is analysed by calculating a relative coupling interval (RCI). The value is calculated by dividing a cardiac contraction interval immediately preceding the auricular extrasystole by the coupling interval. The derived RCI is assessed.
