FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: diagnosing is ensured by detecting cognitive disorders by measuring cognitive evoked potentials to determine latency P300; by performing a neuropsychological testing to determine dynamic praxis values; categorical mentality; spatial praxis; long-term memory; depression level according to Zung self-rating depression scale. A diagnostic function is calculated with using the derived values and referring the patient to a group with the presence of cognitive disorders in mercury encephalopathy or to a group with the presence of cognitive disorders with dyscirculatory encephalopathy.;EFFECT: method enables high-accuracy differentiation of cognitive disorders in toxic and dyscirculatory encephalopathy and reduced extent of paraclinical investigations.;2 tbl, 3 ex
