The cladding has fastening units (20) for fastening joinable plates (10) at a pipe wall (1). The plates include a receiving opening for the fastening units. The fastening units are accessible from a side of the plates, where the side faces away from the pipe wall. The fastening units include a threaded bolt (21) with an outer thread, and ceramic caps (22) with an inner thread. The outer and inner threads are designed as round threads with a thread angle of approximately 30 degrees. The cap has a grain-size distribution of 0.003 mm to 0.15 mm.
